Job Description:


Reporting to the Senior Director of Global Sourcing and Category Management, the Strategic Contracts Manager must manage the day-to-day business relationship with a few strategic suppliers. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the project teams to accomplish a successful delivery of some of the organization’s key initiatives by ensuring the suppliers under his/her scope fulfill each of their obligations and perform as contractually committed.

In this role, the Strategic Contract Manager will have to develop a collaborative environment with its suppliers which promotes ​​problem-solving and identification of opportunities for improvement and cost reductions. Working with the project teams, the candidate will have to negotiate change requests or claims in the event of default by suppliers. The selected candidate will be autonomous, curious, structured and rigorous. He or she will work effectively with the different stakeholders involved in the projects and will communicate the required information to the executive committee.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the contractual and commercial relationship with some strategic suppliers
  • Act as an expert of suppliers’ contractual obligations when collaborating and communicating with the project teams and executives 
  • Support project teams in the delivery of strategic initiatives by ensuring supplier compliance and participating actively in periodic project reviews
  • Negotiate Change requests or claims for non-performance with suppliers and amend contracts accordingly
  • Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Prepare and present documentation for executive committees
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction related to strategic suppliers

Job requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement, project management or contract management
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, law, project management or related discipline.
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Good business sense
  • Good understanding of the contractual language
  • Rigorous
  • Demonstrated leadership, independent and highly structured.
  • Ability to synthesize information & communicate with executives.
  • Ability to work under pressure with several deliverables simultaneously.
